I was born in 1950 at a prefab just around the corner (25 Bramble Close) and remember as a toddler my baths were in the kitchen sink. When I became too big to fit I would sit on a towel on the draining board with my legs splashing in the soapy water. My only other vivid memory was running into the kitchen from the garden, catching my foot on what to me was the huge threshold and falling flat on my face and watching half a front baby tooth skitter across the lino floor.
